Miami and Fort Lauderdale Combat Medic Training for Civilians class in session. These excerpts from a recent training course illustrate effective immediate response to combat injuries while maintaining situational awareness.

Whether you live in downtown Miami or the suburbs of Fort Lauderdale combat medic training for civilians is a class that can save the lives of you and your loved ones. It seems like every day there is a news story about a shooting, stabbing, or bombing. What if you were there? What if you had the emergency medical training necessary to save a life before the first responders are even aware that there is a situation? Tactical U's Fort Lauderdale Miami Combat Medic Training for Civilians course will remove the mystery out of emergency medicine by teaching you how to effectively utilize the components of a medical kit and mitigate potentially life threatening injuries. EMS talks about the golden hour, We want to teach you about the Golden Minute (those first 60 seconds that make the difference whether we live or die). This is particularly fundamental in stopping blood loss, because if we can’t control bleeding, the patient (which may be our self) is going to die. We understand that most civilians do not carry a medical kit with them on a stroll through downtown Fort Lauderdale or Miami. Our combat medic training course for civilians also covers the utilization of improvised medical equipment to mitigate life threatening injuries. We will provide you with the skill-set and confidence to survive an emergency situation, whether in a civilian or tactical environment.

The two most common preventable injuries in a trauma situation are extremity bleeding and chest or breathing injuries; i.e. arterial bleeds and tension pneumothorax. In fact, 90% of the injuries encountered in an emergency situation can be treated. Injuries to the extremities account for approximately 70% and 20% occur in the chest or abdomen, which affect the person’s breathing. Obviously, the remaining 10% of injuries are fatal such as a gunshot or severe damage to the face, neck, or throat and there is rarely anything that can be done to help in these cases. One of Miami Fort Lauderdale Combat Medic Training for Civilians' primary goals is to blow these statistics out of the water by training you to react calmly and effectively to any of these situations. Remember the life you save may be your own!
