Long-range accuracy is built on physics, data, and repetition. Tactical U’s precision rifle course in Miami is private, one-on-one instruction from 100 to 500 yards. Stephen Cohen covers ballistics, wind calls, field positions, DOPE, and trigger mechanics at distance. This is the most technical course we offer. It is not for beginners, and it is nothing like what you practice at a standard range.

Civilian Sniper Training vs Law Enforcement/Military: What's the Difference?
Tactical U’s precision rifle training in Miami covers ballistic fundamentals, environmental data analysis, and live-fire progression from 100 to 500 yards:
How to properly zero your rifle at 100 yards and verify optic alignment
How to build and use your DOPE (Data On Previous Engagements)
How to shoot from prone, barricades, and field positions
How to spot, correct, and deliver first-round impacts
We cover every variable required to build and run a correct ballistic profile using a Kestrel or mobile app.
Tactical U’s civilian sniper training in Miami teaches you to build accurate ballistic profiles using Kestrel weather meters or mobile ballistic calculators for precision long-range shooting.
In precision rifle shooting, you have two primary methods for compensating for bullet drop and wind drift: We teach both techniques - and when to use each.
Dial-ups for elevation and wind
Hold-overs and hold-offs using reticle hash marks for elevation and wind
You’ll know how to choose the right solution based on time, distance, and conditions – and apply it with confidence.
Once you’re zeroed, Tactical U’s precision rifle training progresses to
live-fire exercises under real field conditions from 100 to 500 yards:
By the end of your live-fire session at Tactical U’s range facility.
You’ll have confirmed hits at 500 yards and validated your ballistic data
under real conditions. Students consistently achieve 500-yard precision in
their first training day.
Precision rifle training requires specialized equipment. Unlike basic firearms courses, civilian sniper training demands match-grade ammunition, precision optics, and long-range shooting gear.
You are expected to show up fully prepared. If you arrive missing core gear, you may not be able to train.

Precision rifle shooting requires precision setup. You must be set up for success.
You may still be able to shoot, but if your scope isn’t mounted correctly, you’re seeing scope shadow, or your eye relief is off – you will not perform at your potential during sniper training.
