This is a 4-hour private intensive designed to make clearing everything from stoppages to catastrophic malfunctions second nature, from simple user errors to mechanical bolt overrides.

What You’ll Learn
- Immediate action drills: Tap-Rack-Reassess, Lock-Rip-Work-Load
- Clearing stoppages and malfunctions including:
- Failures to feed, chamber, fire, extract, and eject
- Misfires, hangfires, double feeds, stove pipes, squib loads
- Catastrophic AR-15 bolt overrides
- Recognizing stoppages and malfunctions by sound, feel, and recoil

Course Structure
- Dry-Fire to Live-Fire Progression. Start with diagnosis and technique during dry drills. Advance to live-fire clearance of stoppages and malfunctions under pressure.
- Realistic Stress Drills. Practice structured, step-by-step methods. Scenarios build until you respond correctly without hesitation.
- Immediate Feedback. Receive direct corrections and performance coaching at every step.
Setup & Requirements
- Location: Homestead Range, Miami
- Time: 4 hours
- Format: Private one-on-one or small group (instructor approval required)
- Level: Intermediate to Advanced shooters only
- Firearms: Student must bring own pistol and AR-style rifle (no rentals)
- Ammo: 150 rounds per platform (pistol and rifle)
- Dummy Rounds: Required for both platforms
- Mags: Minimum of 3 magazines per firearm
- Other Gear: Quality holster, belt, mag pouches, 2-point rifle sling, eye and ear protection

Do I need both a pistol and a rifle to attend?
Yes. This masterclass requires both a pistol and an AR-style rifle to train clearance of stoppages and malfunctions across platforms.
Can beginners take this class?
No. Prior firearms handling experience is required. This is an intermediate to advanced-level course.
What if I don’t have dummy rounds?
Dummy rounds are mandatory. We can recommend trusted sources for purchasing them before your session.
Where is the class held?
All sessions are conducted at Tactical U’s Miami-based range. Rain or shine unless deemed unsafe by the instructor.
