Advanced Rifle Training, Homestead Training Center

Dynamic Rifle training, Precision Scoped Rifle, and low light rifle tactics require a dedicated outdoor facility and are conducted at the Homestead Training Center, 11700 SW 304th St, Homestead, FL 33033. Under an hour from Fort Lauderdale. Phase 1 completion or demonstrated fundamentals required for advanced courses.

What You Will Cover

Fort Lauderdale-area rifle courses focus on the fundamentals that make every other skill possible. Course content includes:

  • Proper rifle zero (25-yard offset zero, effectively a 50-yard zero)
  • Correct stance, mount, grip, and cheek weld.
  • Trigger control, breathing and follow-through at defensive distances
  • Ready positions, high and low for home defense and field use
  • Tactical reloads with retention and speed reloads for carbine platforms
  • Malfunction identification and immediate action drills
  • Basic movement and handling coordination with a rifle

Course Requirements and What to Bring

  • Government-issued photo ID
  • AR-15 or other semi-auto carbine in good working order
  • Minimum three magazines
  • 150 – 300 rounds of factory-loaded ammunition
  • Sling recommended
  • Eye and ear protection
  • Closed-toe shoes, range-appropriate clothing

 

Arrive with unloaded rifle and magazines. Ammunition must be in original factory boxes, stored separate from the firearm.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need prior rifle experience?

No. The Phase 1 fundamentals course is built for shooters with little or no formal rifle training. If you own an AR-15 and have not had structured instruction, this is the right starting point.

What rifle do I need?

Any semi-auto carbine in good working order. AR-15 platform is most common. Call ahead if you are unsure whether your setup is suitable for the course.
