Searched for a CCW class, a CWL course, or a concealed weapons permit class in Miami? Different names, one license: Florida issues the Concealed Weapon License (CWL), and this 2-hour certification qualifies you to apply for it.
Train Responsibly. Qualify Professionally.
This is not a typical classroom session or an online certificate mill. This is a focused, one-on-one or small group session tailored to meet Florida’s concealed carry qualification standards with real, hands-on training. We cover all legal, safety, and marksmanship fundamentals required to receive your Florida Concealed Weapon License (CWL) in a clear, efficient, and professional environment.
You’ll walk away with a state-compliant certificate (delivered via email) and a detailed follow-up packet outlining how to apply for your CWL, review the laws, choose carry insurance, and prepare for future training.
This is not a holster course. All live fire is conducted from the low-ready and compressed-ready positions only, to maximize safety and skill acquisition.

Course Structure
This two-hour session is broken into three working phases:
- Legal Overview. We begin with a clear breakdown of Florida’s CWL laws: where you can carry, where you can’t, how use-of-force is interpreted under the law, and how Florida’s reciprocity works when traveling to other states.
- Dry-Fire Rehearsal & Fundamentals. Students will rehearse safety protocols and marksmanship fundamentals with no ammunition present. This includes stance, grip, sight alignment and picture, breathing, trigger control, and follow-through. Dry reps ensure you’re acclimated before live fire begins.
- Live-Fire Qualification. We complete the course with a live-fire session that satisfies the state’s legal requirement. All drills are conducted from the low-ready and compressed-ready positions to ensure safety while reinforcing core handling and shooting skills. Upon completion, you’ll receive your CWL qualification certificate via email, along with a resource guide covering your next legal and logistical steps.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this class meet Florida’s training requirement for a CWL?
Yes. You’ll receive a certificate by email that meets all Florida licensing standards.
Do I need a holster?
No. This class does not involve drawing from a holster. All shooting is conducted from the low-ready and compressed-ready positions. Two hours is not enough time to safely work and cover holster techniques; even four hours is not enough for some people. Drawing and holstering is when most unsafe practices occur, so it gets the utmost attention. Holster work is taught in our 4-hour session.
Is this course good for beginners?
Yes. It’s designed for responsible individuals who want to qualify without fluff or crowds. No prior experience required.
Can I bring a revolver?
Yes, if that’s your preference. Please also bring a speed loader.
Can I take this class with a small group?
Yes. Small group sessions are available at a discounted rate. Contact us for pricing.
Do you provide ammo?
If you rent a handgun from us, we will source ammo at market rate, which must be purchased through us.
Can I carry after this class?
Yes. Florida now allows permitless concealed carry under Constitutional Carry laws (as of July 1, 2023), but only if you meet the same eligibility criteria as CWL holders. That means you can legally carry without waiting for your license, but there are key advantages to still applying for your Concealed Weapon License (CWL), which we’ll walk you through after the course.
What’s the benefit of a CWL if Florida allows permitless carry?
Even though you can carry without a permit, a CWL provides serious advantages:
- Legal Reciprocity: Your CWL is honored in over 30 states. Permitless carry stops at the Florida border.
- Credibility in Court: If you ever use your firearm in self-defense, a CWL shows you sought professional training and took responsibility, not just relying on a loophole.
- Faster Firearm Purchases: Skip Florida’s mandatory waiting period when buying a gun from a dealer.
- Legal Clarity: Certain locations and scenarios are more clearly protected when you carry with a license.
