
Mel Becena
Qualifications:
- Mel Becena has more than 20 years of experience serving in the United States Army Special Operations community.
- He also spent time as an Assault Team Leader and Detachment Operations Sergeant on sensitive counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism missions and operations in high-threat overseas areas.
- To add to his list of experience, Mel has advised and assisted allied and partner nation’s military and law enforcement in the planning and execution of counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism missions.
- Trained allied and partner nation law enforcement and military forces in Close Quarter Battle, advanced marksmanship, small unit tactics, and intelligence operations.
- For the last five years, Mel has been a full-time instructor on Force-on-Force, Close Quarter Battle, as well as Advanced Marksmanship while working with a Federal agency to train law enforcement officers in terrorist counteraction and counter-narcotics operations.
