4 Hour Handgun Fundamentals Group Class

COURSE STRUCTURE

This four-hour class is broken down into progressive modules:

  • Skill Evaluation & Warm-Up
    • Students demonstrate basic safety and gun handling to establish a baseline.
  • Dry Practice Fundamentals
    • High-repetition dry drills for stance, grip, sight picture, trigger press, and holster draw.
  • Live-Fire Marksmanship Drills
    • Progressive shooting exercises designed to ingrain fundamentals under increasing speed and stress.
  • Reloads & Malfunction Drills
    • Foundational reload techniques and clearing common malfunctions safely.
  • Holster Work
    • Drawing from OWB holsters under direct coaching for consistent, safe deployment.
  • Debrief & Next Steps
    • Performance review with personalized feedback, recommendations for advanced training, and follow-up resources.

SETUP & REQUIREMENTS

  • Location: Homestead Training Center (South Florida)
  • Time: 4 hours
  • Student Level: Intermediate and up - not for beginners
  • Holster: OWB required (IWB not permitted for this class)
  • Experience: Must demonstrate safe handling and range awareness
  • Rental Guns: Limited availability on request; students are encouraged to bring their own gear.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Semi-auto pistol or revolver
  • OWB holster and sturdy belt
  • At least two magazines or speed loaders
  • 250–300 rounds of factory ammunition
  • Eye and ear protection
  • Closed-toe shoes and appropriate range attire
  • Government-issued photo ID

Additional information

Group class sharpening pistol basics: stance, grip, sight, trigger control, reloads and malfunctions. Location: Held at our Fort Lauderdale indoor 25-yard range (3 person minimum) or our Homestead/Miami outdoor range (5 person minimum), depending on the session you book.
